Employees of Asian Art Museum’s corporate sponsors and corporate members receive one or more complimentary admission tickets to both the collection galleries and special exhibitions. Check our Institutional Partnerships page to see if your employer is a corporate member. Many of our corporate partners can arrange tickets in advance by visiting our ticketing page and applying the organization’s promotion code upon checkout. The Asian Art Museum participates in both the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) and North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) programs. Visitors with ROAM or NARM memberships receive complimentary admission to the collection galleries and only pay the surcharge for special exhibition access. Please bring proof of membership to the museum on the day of your visit. This benefit is limited to same day, walk-up availability. To inquire about special exhibition availability, please speak with a member of the guest experience team at the admissions desk.
On the first Sunday of each month, general admission is free and tickets to our special exhibitions are offered at a discounted price of $15. On Free First Sundays, we have limited same-day, walk-up availability for both general admission and special exhibition tickets, so we highly recommend reserving your tickets ahead of time by visiting our ticketing page.
The Asian Art Museum offers one complimentary guest pass for a caregiver or friend accompanying a visitor with special needs. Please email [email protected] or call 415.581.3531 to inquire about availability and reserve a guest pass.
The Asian Art Museum participates in San Francisco’s Museums for All program. This program grants complimentary general admission to up to four family members. You can upgrade to a special exhibition ticket by paying the surcharge. Please bring either your EBT or MediCal card, and proof of San Francisco residency, to the admissions desk on the day of your visit. This promotion is limited to same-day, walk-up availability.
The Asian Art Museum participates in the Blue Star Museums program. Guests with an active Military ID receive complimentary admission to both our collection galleries and special exhibitions. This discount applies to active-duty military personnel and up to five family members. This promotion is limited to same-day, walk-up availability.
The Discover and Go program provides complimentary passes to California public library cardholders. Guests must reserve their date and time on your local library’s Discover and Go website prior to visiting the museum. These passes grant admission to our collection galleries. Free entry to special exhibitions depends on availability.
